Steinberg is pleased to announce two significant new updates to its Cubase 4 and Cubase Studio 4 applications, which are available as a free download to all registered Cubase 4 and Cubase Studio 4 customers. The new update significantly extends music composition and production functionality in Cubase, adding a range of new features and minor enhancements. Among the new features are a redesigned Sample Editor, Sidechaining for VST3 plug-ins, MusicXML support, Sequel compatibility and much more.

Steinberg’s Managing Director, Kazunori Kobayashi about the new update: “This update represents a significant extension of Cubase music production functionality. Many areas of the program have been reengineered and updated to offer more speed, flexibility and creativity for musicians, producers and composers.
