NI Kore - The Universal Sound Platform
Chapter 1 - Use One Interface
Imagine operating all your software instruments
with just one interface...
Now You Can: KORE
Do you have a multitude of software instruments and effects installed
on your computer? From managing the presets to editing the sound, every
plug-in has a different operational concept. Understanding and learning
how to use each new plug-in is usually a time consuming process that
often has a disruptive effect on the musical work-flow.
The Solution: One Interface for Everything
KORE brings order to the overwhelming amount of software instruments,
effects, presets and varying operating concepts. KOREs uniform
interface injects musical creativity into your work processes, making
music production easier, faster and more intuitive than ever before.
All of your VST and Audio Units instruments and effects can be loaded
into the KORE software. These are then presented in a clearly structured,
uniform software and hardware interface. The graphical layout of the
control elements in the software corresponds exactly to the layout of
the KORE hardware controller.
Finding, loading and managing presets as well as editing any sound's
parameters all takes place within KORE itself. KORE delivers a clear
overview of your work space and maximum usability.

Touch your instruments
Thanks to the seamless integration of KORE's software
and hardware components, your software instruments and effects become
tactile instruments that are highly intuitive and uniform in their operation.
The number of parameters that can be assigned to the KORE interface
is of course not limited to the eight buttons and knobs. Additional
pages, each with eight knobs and buttons, can be stepped through easily,
ensuring that all the necessary parameters can be accessed.
KOMPLETE Compatibility
Combined
with the instruments and effects included in NI KOMPLETE 3, KORE becomes
an outstandingly powerful platform. The most important sound parameters
for nearly all 9000 presets included in NI KOMPLETE 3 plus the
2000 included in NI KOMPLETE SOUND 2 have already been assigned
to the knobs and buttons on the KORE interface.
A structured concept was followed in assigning each of the presets'
parameters to the KORE interface, resulting in the controls for timbre,
source, modulation, effects etc always being grouped together in various
'Easy Access' pages.
This allows you to not only play everything but edit everything as well,
without having to open and fully understand each individual instrument.
And the KORE controller adds that invaluable hands-on touch.

If you still need to access the actual instrument's
interface, you still can: Just click the Edit button and the instrument
will open directly out of the KORE Rack.
One interface for all 3rd Party Plug-ins
Naturally, third party Audio Unit or VST instruments and effects can
also be used with KORE. All the knobs and buttons of your plug-ins that
can be automated, can also be assigned to the KORE control elements
with a flick of the wrist and then saved for future sessions. And the
KORE controller will give you the same freedom, ease-of-use and analog
feel as with the NI instruments and effects as well as increasing the
musical creativity in your work flow.
KORE in no way constricts the potential of your plug-ins, it simply
makes them all far easier, quicker and more intuitive to use.
