The Modulos take a classic theme and mess with it. With outrageous
Crocodile-Tolex covering and a choice of out-there colours,
the Tipo 1 is not for the faint-hearted.
It features two single coils and a humbucker, plus a smooth-as-you-like
Wilkinson tremolo. Two volumes, tone and traditional five-way
switch and precision die-cast Italia tuners complete the hardware,
while a guitar-shaped cover for the tremolo springs, surrounded
by distinctive bolts (which secure the 'Wilkinson-sandwich'
Agathis body) ensure the back is just as much a talking-point.
Lurking beneath the outlandish styling is a truly great sounding
and playing instrument with tone to spare.
