From 1968 to present day, 36
years in the making 'Tower Of Power' make their annual
pilgrimage to the London Astoria to a full house filled with
old and new funksters.
As soon as they hit the stage they pushed the dance button
opening with 'Soul With A Capital 'S' to the ultra funk of
'I Got To Groove', 'Give Me Your Love', 'You Got To
Funkifize' and extended versions of T.O.P. classics 'What Is
Hip' and 'Don't Change Horses', the band pumped raw dance
energy on the floor - this is infectious stuff.

David Garibaldi signs everything from the stage
Smooth grooves like 'You're
Still A Young Man' showed off the the vocal talents of
frontman Larry Braggs, still the best suited vocalist for
this legendary soul/funk outfit - you da man!
The engine room of 'Tower of Power' is powered by David
Garibaldi and Francis Rocco Prestia still stoking the groove
to the max and providing the rhythm wall of funk. The
tightest horn section led by founder member Emilio Castillo
(tenor sax/vocals) with the legendary Doc Kupka (baritone
sax), taking the sax solos Tom Politzer (tenor sax), Mike
Bogart (trombone/trumpet) and Adolfo Acosta (trumpet)
completing the horn section. Adding the fuel to the
complimentary rhythm section is Jeff Tamelier on guitar and
keyboardist Roger Smith - this band love to play 'live' and
there is no mistaking it.
