Introducing Mylious Johnson,
one of the current new breed of drummers in circulation.
Currently on tour with PINK, he forms the rhythmic
foundation of the band and a driving force behind their
'live' performance. From humble beginnings, Mylious began
playing in church gospel choirs and later expanded his
musical horizons to the 'rock' drumming arena. He browsed
through the rock section in record stores and bought almost
the whole collection of Led Zeppelin and The Who to grab the
'rock' vibe from those respective drumming icons.

Mylious Johnson takes command on stage
Catching up with him during
soundcheck at Wembley Arena it was a pleasure to witness him
throw his personality into his instrument as he worked
through grooves balanced with the electronics, sequencing
and triggering. The combination of SABIAN Hand Hammered and
HHX cymbals gave him a controlled sound that complimented
the power of his drums. A 19" Paragon Chinese makes a
welcomed appearance in his cymbal set up and adds an
aggressive bite - it has a great 'pang' with astonishing
projection.

Showtime and on stage
Mylious took command and sat like an iron horse behind the
rhythm seat as PINK and her dancers put on a vibrant and
impressive show rocking a sold-out Wembley Arena. Hit
singles like 'Trouble', 'God Is A DJ' and 'Last To Know'
taken from her latest CD offering 'Try This' led to her
version of Guns 'n' Roses 'Welcome To The Jungle' and her
classic hit 'Get The Party Started' - PINK is certainly the
evolution of the new ROCK diva.

"Mylious has great musical sense, great ears, great
finesse
and as a player he's a powerhouse" - Rafael Moreira
(guitarist)
The show highlight was on
the track 'Last To Know' when Mylious sets off soloing over
the top of the groove in fifth gear - the crowd go crazy!!
PINK steps out to the mic and says, I think I can do
better!! A four-piece drumset with SABIAN cymbals rolls out
the side of the stage and a fun drum battle takes place
between PINK and Mylious - such a showstopper.

Showtime - Pink and the band put on a vibrant
and impressive show rocking the arena
Mylious Johnson is a well
rounded drummer with his balanced style of R 'n' B and rock
which puts him amongst the realm of new drummers such as
Keith Harris (Black Eyed Peas), Brian Fraser-Moore
(Christina Aguilera), Eric Tribett (Jill Scott), John
Blackwell (Prince), Jarod Barnes (Macy Gray) - all
forefronting their own statements and putting themselves on
the drumming map in today's music. As Mylious pushes his own
rhythmic boundaries, he will emerge as another one to watch
in 2004.

"Mylious is a monster player... he frees me up
and makes me feel musically comfortable...
he's such a great guy!" - Leah Randi (bassist)
PINK continues her world tour
through 2004 and a live DVD has been recorded on this tour -
