Introducing Vic Firth and
Remo endorser Gerald Heyward (Beyonce) hitting the Wembley
Arena date on the U.K. leg of the tour. With the massive
success of 'Dangerously In Love' and the monster single
'Crazy In Love', Gerald Heyward takes to the drum seat as
they record footage for her forthcoming DVD. The highlight
this year for Beyonce will be a charity concert for AIDS in
the presence of Nelson Mandela in Cape Town, South Africa
which will be televised by MTV later.
As far as Gerald Heyward's past involvements read like a
who's who in R & B music and they include Blackstreet,
Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Missy Elliot, Puff Daddy and
Coolio just to name a few making him one of the most wanted
drummers in the R & B genre.
Gerald took time out after his soundcheck to visit Wembley
Drum Centre to check out the drum store and drum equipment.
"I had such a great time at the store, the guys are so cool"
remarks Gerald.
Gerald is also the resident drummer for Mary J. Blige and he
will commencing rehearsal with her early next year in
readiness for her world tour drawing her to the U.K. in
early 2004.
